The Administrative Committee of the Missouri Baptist Convention’s Executive Board has the task of recommending a replacement for David Tolliver, who resigned as MBC executive director Jan. 6. The committee is scheduled to meet Friday (Jan. 14), 1 p.m., at the Baptist Building in Jefferson City.
“In the event the office of the Executive Director should become vacant for any reason, the Administrative Committee of the Executive Board shall make recommendations to the Executive Board for filling the vacancy, including the composition of — and guidelines for — a search committee, and for all interim appointments,” according to point No. 4, Article V of “The Bylaws of the Executive Board of the Missouri Baptist Convention.”
The committee will bring its recommendations to the full 50-member Executive Board when it meets later the same afternoon.
Both sessions will be held in executive session, meaning they are closed to the public. The Executive Board is expected to announce whatever recommendations it adopts at the conclusion of both meetings. The Pathway will have complete coverage.
